"The Charles and Betti Saunders Foundation" -- Pat, Steve, Kate, and Ian Saunders
-- in the amount of $3,500.00!
Steve Saunders read our article in the Heritage Society of Austin's newsletter last year and was interested in what SAC is doing.
SAC will put this money toward the fees for the engineering design plans for the Oakwood Cemetery Chapel foundation repair, for which we are currently getting proposal bids.

Guest Speaker: 3rd generation Austinite, Phil Baum discussed Jewish burial and cemetery customs for the April presentation. He is the chairman of the Congregation Beth Israel's cemetery committee and has four generations of relatives buried at Oakwood.

Matthew demonstrated photography techniques using old-style cameras for two different types of photographs:
large 12" x 20" platinum/palladium contact prints and a late 1800s photographic process called Wet Plate Collodion
(also called Tintype/Ambrotype photography).
